Unmad

Terms of use

Last updated October 2026 · applies to v1.1.0

The short version

Unmad is free, works offline and collects nothing. Use it to blow off steam, not as medical help. It’s provided as is. What you write is yours and stays on your phone.

Who makes it

Unmad (不气了 in Chinese) is made by Yuan Zhao, an independent developer. In these terms, “we” and “us” means the developer, and “you” means you. Contact: hellounmad1@gmail.com.

Agreeing to these terms

By downloading or using Unmad, or by using this website, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use them.

You get Unmad through Apple’s App Store, so Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the standard EULA) applies to the app as well. These terms add to it. If the two ever disagree about the app, the Apple EULA wins.

Price

Unmad is free. There are no in-app purchases, no subscriptions and no ads. If that ever changes, it will be clearly marked in the App Store and in the app before you pay for anything.

Using the app

What you write

Everything you write or record in Unmad belongs to you and stays on your device. We never receive it and keep no copy. That also means we can’t recover it if you delete it, delete the app or lose your phone, and it isn’t included in iCloud or computer backups. See the privacy policy for the details.

You’re responsible for what you write and for anything you choose to share from the app, such as a saved rage receipt image.

Not a medical service

Unmad is for letting off steam. It is not counseling, not a medical service and not a substitute for professional help. It does not assess, diagnose or treat any condition, and the quizzes in the Chinese version are just for fun. If you need professional help, please contact a professional. If you are thinking about hurting yourself, please contact your local emergency services or a crisis line right away.

Use some common sense

The smashing happens on screen. Please keep it there, and don’t take it out on real objects or people. Unmad plays sounds and vibrates, so don’t use it while driving or anywhere you need your full attention. You can turn sound and vibration off under Me.

Changes and availability

We may update Unmad, change or remove features, or stop offering it at any time. Updates come through the App Store, and the release notes say what changed.

No warranty

Unmad and this website are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises of any kind about them, including that they’ll work without interruption or errors, or that they’ll make you any less angry.

Limits on liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for losing data stored on your device, arising from your use of Unmad or this website.

Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer law in your country that can’t be waived, or limits liability that can’t be limited by law.

About Apple

These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn’t responsible for Unmad or its content, and has no obligation to provide support for it. Questions, complaints or claims about the app go to us. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and can enforce them.

This website

This site is here to tell you what Unmad is and how to use it. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking scripts. Like any website, the hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and the page requested) for security and operations. App Store links take you to Apple’s site, which has its own terms.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. If a change matters, the app’s release notes will mention it too. Using Unmad after a change means you accept the new terms.
